I kind of hope Colorado’s (and maybe her sister’s, eventually) smallness becomes something of a running joke worthy of it’s own pool. Where they try to make people take them seriously because “We’re still members of the Big Seven. *pouts*”

All more modern ships (even Nelson is newer since she was designed after the Washington Treaty, while Colorado was finished just before it).

While the Japanese superdreadnoughts will be older than her, they tend to be longer than her (Japanese spreading more turrets in the ship than Americans who favored triple barreled turrets), and Colorado being based on Tennessee, just with twin 16 inch guns, instead of triple 14 inch guns. Kongou being a battlecruiser, was designed for speed. Warspite, was also designed for speed. At least more speed than Colorado was built for (Americans used line tactics and were perfectly willing to have the enemy come to them at the coasts)

Then come the exercises, where she blows them all away. Colorado and her sisters were the smallest, but they were some seriously tough boats.
