I think 12点になる has to do with Japanese women obsessing over having rounded eyes. Searching only "点になる" brings up a lot of initial results related to eyes, and one result with "12点になる" shows the absurd product that has been around for about two decades, of "Soft Glue", used to fold and glue their eyelids into their eye sockets. I wish I was making that shit up.
