What’s going on with Akagi’s arm? We Houseki no Kuni now?
It's a little hard to see, but she's crushing the plane with her hand. The claws and the pose looks like she's growing some spikes, but if you zoomed in closer it'll be clear.
There's also the bit with the strange iris and the botchy tail, but it maybe be related with Akagi forcing the Siren technology to regenerate her lost body parts, essentially turning more into a Siren than Shipgirl.
Right eye is left-over damage from her no-holds-barred beatdown of Roon.
Also, that trio had better stand down and beg for mercy. If they managed to get that fucked up by Shoukaku alone, I don't thing they can handle an encore with Akagi immediately after.

E will manage to hold Akagi back and the trio will get off easy.

Big E is the one who called in Akagi in the first place. However, I doubt she wants Akagi to kill her sisters, just stop her sisters from killing her runaway(?) lover and Atago. The million dollar question is: Where's Roon?

She may have called her in but if you think she's going to seriously maul her sister's after what they did to Shoukaku it'll never happen.
As for Roon? I think she's catching up as we currently see Akagi has arrived to the battlefield first.
I'm afraid you misunderstand. I'm saying that as Big E called in Akagi to stop them, I doubt she's going to stop Akagi from delivering an ass-kicking to force them to back down and turn back. She would not let Akagi sink them, no, but I doubt she'll stop Akagi from beating some sense into them.

I didn't misunderstand a thing. I know Big E called in Akagi but I can genuinely see her (Big E) hoping that the situation will be settled without any form of violence. Akagi meanwhile looks as if she's on the warpath and if Big E doesn't catch her in time (trust me, she will) then those three will end up like Roon did at the start.
Hence why I said "get off scot free". But I genuinely hope I'm proved wrong.
Also notice how Shoukaku is the one that got off worst. I understand it was 3 on 1 but earlier on in the story Akagi fought Roon 1 on 1 and she (Roon) nearly died.
To be fair, Shoukaku IS one of the strongest carriers in game. Definitely stronger than either Yorktown or Hornet (who seems to have been forgotten) individually in terms of air power. Big E blows her (and everyone else) out of the water though.
Front line (Sandy, Wichita) is also far more damaged than the back line (Yorktown), which is to be expected.
The real point which breaks suspension of disbelief is that they're damaged at all when it's Sandy The Anti Air Extraordinaire vs a carrier. But then, Shoukaku bringing a front line of her own is nowhere near as dramatic as her doing a one woman "You Shall Not Pass!", and the narrative here more or less requires that the other side have suffered some damage in order to maintain tension.
If it was really only those three (or four) that would be a fair explanation, but we saw at least lexington and South Dakota in previous pages, alongside some others. Where on earth did they go, if they're still here that implies Shoukaku did all this against all or most of them, which is a a little bit beyond my suspension of disbelief. Perhaps they'll explain it in the next pages that they figured they could handle Shoukaku themselves and sent everyone else ahead.
Edit: Wichita, Sandy, Hornet, Yorktown, South Dakota, Pheonix, Lexington are the ones I recognize. Some other silhouettes but those might just be the same ships.

About Lexington and the others... My guess is they ran off ahead to chase The Commander, Atago and Zuikaku as their maun goal is to the boat(forgot if it was to sink it or catch it.)

I agree with this one, because there's no way in hell that Shoukaku can hold off like a whole squadron of USS at once. There were also Phoenix, Hornet as well.
Also, careful there Akagi, accidentally sink Irisviel again and E-chan may go full Alter on yo ass.
