At the time of the post, Japan was being affected by a severe heat wave. Temperatures in Tokyo reached a sweltering 41.1°C (106°F), resulting in the deaths of many people due to heatstroke.

At the same time over in Jackson Hole, Wyoming it's snowing and they are expecting 10 inches of snow.
