That wound is common for a katana wielder (idk if it kendo or samurai lesson). For a first timer and an amateur just need more practice.

Well if you compare to the video of how to sheath the sword and her own own sheath it suppose to be a half inch from the scabbard, but she did it from the top area where you can easily cut yourself. You're welcome.
