Probably meant to take back the whole "wait...what?" earlier by clarifying that yes, Komashu was right, it was love at first sight and he's still madly in love with her after they got "married".

Kouji is following the Tokonatsu-Fubuki pattern, where he actually tries to have normal relationship progress if there's a clear pairing.

(Admibro doesn't do relationship progress because he's juggling a harem and thus deliberately avoids progressing any one relationship too far in order to mitigate jealousy issues. Lezmiral is just a lust machine. "Tsukushi Mates" only has romantic friendships, and even those were progressing in a natural fashion.)
