Nowadays nothing. Female monsters have been portrayed as vaguely ethnic chroma-skinned fairy women for years. Since books about green space babes at least.

Earliest I can remember was Might and Magic 7, which had "goblins" as a playable race with women wearing hoop earrings and cherry lipstick.

If anything, I think it's become more ok for monster females in fantasy to fit their roles, as things like muscle, claws, and body fur have become less taboo since 2000.
