Given the reference to Paul Gauguin on the left of this comic and the way Ichigo and Ikuno stand by each other just piles up on the memetic nature of all the "death flags" in this show. I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them died, but Ichigo's position matches the elderly woman in the original painting, which makes it seem like she's on the chopping block at some point.
