Yamato must have been training in 100x gravity for Iowa's guns to not affect her like that.

I know Yamato was a big, sturdy girl - and this is exaggerated for comedic effect - but I'm gonna guess under marginally more realistic conditions that Iowa would've fared at least a might better then that against her.

At such a small distance, the 405 mm guns would have washed through Yamato's armor right through. Even in the nose

Yamato, Yamato. You know full well that there are two clear paths for your kind. Fully Armored Support Carrier convertion (Shinano) or Space Battleship (Yamato). Neither of those use Zuiun. The first one can use real Zeros and the like. The second....heh, heh. Cosmo Zero and Cosmo Tiger.

Kii is not A-150 though... it's actually a way older Design than the Yamatos...

it was a next project propose next to Amagi class battleship(Akagi big sister) and the Tosa class Battleships(kaga's big sister), which is still a paper ship and never constructed due to fact that IJN suffer from resources and focus on DD and cruiser also the Yamato class battleship, also let's not forget the washington naval treaty and the london naval treaty.

the A-140 is a new project next to Yamato class with a 510 mm guns, but canceled due to fact that the war just already began..
