No, Kokoro and Futoshi were both pretty selfish in their own ways. Futoshi was/is smothering and self-serving, and Kokoro acts without using her words and can't handle emotional rebuke. That's why she partner-swapped after making that promise to Futoshi. Kokoro at least admits she's a terrible person, though. Futoshi's just naive, despite his pure intentions.
Then again, this is what happens when you pair off emotionally maladjusted children and leave them to their own devices through puberty. I get Werner Franxx's methodology, and it has its merits, but this kind of human social experimentation can only end in tears.

I will be frank, I don't like Zero Two's approach either, not at all, she is effectively a sociopath or a psychopath considering her personality setup (sociopath is my personal guess).
I just really didn't like how Ichigo forced a kiss on him during a time where he was extremely emotionally unstable, seeing that as a chance to gain his love when his emotions were all over (she isn't wrong, but it is a risky move).
I don't like it when guys do it, I don't like it when girls do it either in shows (I like the story impact these scene can cause if done right, which I do think the show did).
It is a calculated, manipulative move made to use the target's emotional vulnerability to become their crutch. To become the person they can rely and look for comfort from. Sure, they, themselves may be emotionally upset at the time, but this is still a manipulative, arshole-ish move.
