I am slowly, but securely, starting to experiment more with panels and their placements. Shapes will probably follow soon. After that I am unsure what other aspect of panels there's left to improve, so I guess the development will stagnate after that point. But nevermind such details!

There are few things in Pokémon that are so obviously skewed yet strangely accepted by society as the pre-switch before facing the next pokémon in battle. I don't know, maybe the opponents shout what they're planning next and our hero simply happens to act fast. It would thus be irresponsible not to take advantage of the situation. Or at least that's what I tell myself when I pound a Youngster's Pidgey with my significantly heavier Graveler. Nonetheless, no other character has apparently picked up on this nefarious tactic, hence why I alone can peacefully reap the rewards. Go me.

Vanessa aka nessade99 helped out by also bringing up how Revives are used by opponents (or rather, how they're NOT used). I've had the setting and dialogue for this strip somewhat clear for a long time, but it lacked a good finishing panel as the main issue is revealed early on, so Vanessa's input made for a real good ending. This also called for some excessive panelwork which quickly broke my usual 4-panel limit, but I wasn't emotionally attached to it anyway.

Took some time before I got done with this thing. My sudden and intense addiction to Cave Story did little to encourage my production. Fun and insanely frustrated times were had though!

And that's why we play on Set battle style, boys and girls. To avoid our opponents' annoying bitching.

Hey, we're not the ones with a Dragonite at level fuckin' 49 and trade-evolutions on single player.

At least he's not the kind of trainer that uses Full Restores every time you get their Pokémon's HP down to the red.

To be fair, on the AIs end, they only have to decide what they want to do after you've already committed to your action for that turn*. The move randomizer** aspect of the AI and the insurmountable player advantage*** are the only reasons anything that has the right move set doesn't perfectly counter you every time.

*This is what lets NPCs with items time their healing perfectly on the same turn you dealt the damage.

**This is what makes your opponent suddenly decide to use growl three times in a row.

***Most NPC trainers do not benefit from EVs.
