To have pics like this work, you have to open your advanced settings and add this line to the custom css:

Hmm, not sure why but someone else also reported the same. And yet I tested it both with chrome and firefox and it works for me, as the transparent background is rendered into a grey checkered area.
Anyway yeah, if it doesn't work like that just open it on tumblr.
