I really don't understand this trope. Did anyone on earth get in an oil-drum ( voluntarily ) ? How would one clamber in over steep sharp sides ( presuming one wasn't lowered in with a derrick ) ? Wouldn't the fire heat the metal floor too hot to touch ?
Pretty sure that so long as you punch down the top, the edge of the side is rolled over. I'm assuming they'd make great bathtubs in the rural and poor areas of the world.
