I thought spoiling daughterus and sexually harassing waifus WAS the job of admirals?

I always wonder what, exactly, is in all this paperwork admirals supposedly do. I mean, they're in the modern world, so why aren't they using computers, for one, but also, they seem to be able to sortie fleets on a whim, so they're not asking permission for what they're doing. It also doesn't seem like being late with paperwork means there's ever a shortage of supplies (and that's what expeditions are for), so it's not like they're requisitioning more resources. Is it just like some sort of adult version of a diary where they just have to write down everything they just did in triplicate without a computer for no good reason?

That sums up a lot of the paperwork folks are requiered to do, to be honest.

My theory? The higher-ups send them all that paperwork mainly just to keep them busy. Otherwise, Admirals would spend ALL day messing around with cute shipgirls which would be dangerous as well as totally unfair.

I imagined all the paperworks Admirals need to do is akin to what we're already doing with quest reports. Every time we finish a quest, we write up a report to send to HQ so they send us the resource/rewards. Some are processing request orders for expedition teams after the fact so that each base has a paper trail the higher ups can track if resources go missing. There's also paperwork on construction reports, repairs, upgrades, sorties, modernization, conversion, etc...

Thus, one reason why I hate paperworks. For every little thing that you do, there's always 3 copies of reports you have to write. Can't we get an Adjutant to do that for us?
