What for to the Russian person kotatsu? When there is a
Russian sauna, steam room, cognac and zbiten.

There's always "Mobile kotatsu set" suit - vatnik, valenky and ushanka. To move between saunas, steam rooms while having increased capacity to carry cognac and zbiten.

In my head, she can withstand winter in Japan because.... she's Russian native. And remember she can't withstand summer in Japan in the old strip.

Most houses of former USSR are really warm in winter (often to 'undershirt and shorts' level), usually by means of district water-heating.
Japanese houses being outdoors-level cold in winter often come as a nasty surprise.
