This is likely not a Bf 109, but a Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien, the Japanese-licensed remake of the Bf 109.

I'll refer to the notes in this post, and again, point out that it makes more sense that this is pointing out the near-identical planes rather than just swapping decals on the sides.

Actually, the Ki-61 was domestically designed and produced by Japan.

Its Bf-109 here. The very obvious difference will be the canopy. This has 109's iconic boxy canopy and open to the side, Ki-61's is more rounded and slides back

Ki-61 is not a remake, its a different design. They do get misidentified as Bf-109 by Allied pilots.
