Yeah, is there a particular reason reason why his british admiral is such a jerk? I know that the british empire has had its share of ill deeds, but is there anything in particular for this?

I'm sure there is nothing historical. He jabbed at some particular Chinese Kancolle players' hostility toward Kaga in a previous strip, so I found it hard to believe that he make fun of British ships/admiral due to historical reason. (Kaga bombed Shanghai in Sino-Japanese War, if you need explaining.)
As far as I know, he just enjoys poking fun of British ships, and Zhan Jian Shao Nyu has quite a few of them. That's why he created this jerk-ass British admiral who mistreats his shipgirls (and usually gets backfired on). Simply put, a gag character happened to be British.
