My heart would be beating pretty fast too if I had a 35.6mm gun go off next to my head like that. Not sure what the takenoko no sato and kinoko no yama are supposed to represent though.

I've actually found that scratching RIGHT AROUND the bite does the job just fine. My nerves can't seem to tell the difference.

I'm pretty sure it's just adding in the rivalry between two companies to make a mock-up have an odd aftertaste. Normally, they have a "person A" do it to "person B", or a cutesy teddy bear do it to a cow or something. This is functionally the equivalent of having a Coke make a romantic advance upon a Pepsi.

Two companies? It's the same company (Meiji) with the exact same ingredients - it's just a different form factor.
