Kuroshio -> <- Oyashio
The Kuroshio current and Oyashio current collide in the mixing point between the two currents.
Kuroshio is named after the warm, tropical current coming from Japan's southeast, while Oyashio is named for the cold, arctic current coming from the northeast. They collide and mingle off the east coast of northern Honshu... This artist decided the best way to represent that was with a butt bump.
