    Chalk - Calcium carbonate.

    Antacids like Tums - Calcium carbonate.

    Whenever people say that Tums are "chalky", there's a reason for that...

    Yeah, sure, there's a difference in binding materials used, and whatever colors it isn't necessarily edible, but chalk by itself is an edible stone.

    That's assuming this is ordinary chalk, of course.
