The jet behind/above Wo's head looks like an F-22, not an F-35.

It might be the X-2, but that's not in service yet and looks a bit more like a VF-1 Valkyrie than this plane does

I'm not 100% sure on the identifications, but the F22 isn't set up for carrier operations, even with the newer proposed supercarrier designs. It's also a little more delta shaped than the plane were seeing here.

I guess that's why Fubuki says the plane's wrong. But I thigh /thought the F-22 was a bit more delta winged than the F-35,which is carrier capable in the B variant.

And of course Japan only has the A variant so far...
