The Bear with bird once thrived all over Nintendo until being forcibly transplanted from their natural habitat. Unable to compete with the brown shooters and screwed over by Microsoftian interference in their new environment. The Bear with bird soon went extinct alongside its contemporaries.
The real cause of rare falling apart was that a huge chunk of the original devs over at the company left for some reason. It's why nintendo sold them, they knew the company wasn't going to be able to function as it once did anymore. Yeah, microsoft did kinda gut the company after that, but rare was already dead in the water by the time it happened.
