Sister should have brought her out on a "girls outing" or something. If our Neet chan made some IRL friends, maybe she would get her act together more.

There are so many people in real life who would surpass the current superstars in one field or another if they could get over their self esteem issues but to say we can't sympathize with their problems is unfair to them because from their perspective the obstacle IS impassable.

I'm not condemning her, I can totally sympathize with her. I'm just saying that the comments about how all her problems would be solved by just doing something that, to use your words, from her perspective requires overcoming an impassable obstacle is ignoring the primary internal character tension that drives this whole series.
