I'm not sure why people keep trying to make this point, as in post #388935. You could argue for a change to hold me instead of carry me, but hug me is really far off the mark when the speaker is expecting to be lifted off the ground.

It's kind of a child's way of saying it... 'Hold Me!' would probably be a better translation ^__^

I hope one day we have enough images for a "dakko" tag.
