That's true of standard Muk. Alolan Muk is different because they don't have as much toxic waste, and it semi-evolved into a garbage-eating pokemon that instead just smells like rotting garbage... because it's body is made of rotting garbage. (A random guy in Ula'Ula even says that if Muks and Grimers aren't fed a constant diet of garbage, they'll start to try eating buildings.)
