I only knew Bahamut, so I always wondered, what do have characters like Orchis or Vampy to do with Granblue? Is there a connection between these games storywise?

Dunno about an explicit connection, but Orchis in Granblue was the center of the Empire's attempt to control Primals (leading up to the Malice encounters and stuff) and other nonsense, so she's a pretty critical story character there, so she certainly exists.
Vampy apparently is hanging around and joins your party for no big reason. She shows up, declares that your main character is her slave, and then putters around with you being cute. (And attempts to make soup for people once in a while.)

recycled character, Cygames owned both and when Bahamut shut down they recycled everything they could.

It could be Granblue's Orchis.
Orchis moves into a new 'golem' body after chapter 63 which has the same doll joint on the shoulders and starts calling herself Orchid, as the original Orchis gets her body back through intervention by the Primal Deus Ex Machina.

Also Shingeki no Bahamut is still going, but only in Japanese.
