    I don't think the Guncannon joke is dead yet, just that it's inactive because all re-broadcasts of the first Mobile Suit Gundam series has ceased while the only things left of the anime are just the mostly Japan-only novels and the Gunpla modeled after the mecha shown in the anime which fan interest around the world would be lost years after the merchandise are released.

    However, Pokemon Go has just started with a huge fanbase and it will never cease service unless Niantic are asked by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company to cease the app's service.
