no not really

the only connection I can think of that the german ship girls in kancolle and the character design in Strike Witches are made by the same person: Shimada Fumikane. Hence if you think their aesthetic matches, you have your explanation.

Also its cute that our little ace-fighter fairy is explaining her fighting maneuvers with the usage of 2 hands, like all fighter pilots should.

I can't find that fairy on any of the airplanes in KanColle. Hell, I can't even find one that wears pants, like she does.

But then again, neither does Hanna-Justina Marseille... Though her hair, goggles and jacket look just like her.
