Very first time I've seen a tragedy of long life with a character like Rumia before.

It's not only ToLL. Really was a good story.

Really good? Yeah, I'd say that. It, however, appeared at first like a DeviantART-esque super-arbitrary weird-ass fetish, which through reading, became more and more obvious until it unfurled into an actually moderately touching story, but not before Rumia began thinking about their kids when raising them.

Let's take a step back and consider a few things that make this controversial, and have it a little more atypical of the "Tragedy of a Long Life"s.

-It's fucking Rumia; childish, voracious, immature and is occasionally associated with her man-eating tendencies.

-Like in canon, she takes the form of a little girl.

-She gets fucked. (This happens in fanfic but when the hell does it develop into a touching story!?)

-She gets pregnant. Not the first/last time I saw anything with the body of a little girl get pregnant, but certainly the first time I saw it played out into a family setting!

-Her kids are given their own significant role in the story. That's just interesting. I thought it would just end with her getting pregnant, which is already super weird.

Bottom Line: Characters like these in fanfic having kids isn't the last thing I thought I would see, but Rumia sure is the last person I thought I would see be portrayed as such...

She's so old despite appearing so young, I should assume she lost her virginity centuries ago, but probably didn't have kids until now as this comic portrays extreme mature humanistic growth in her over the course of... what appears to be 19 or so years with this man.

It's not like it's adorable or something. It's not like I never expected jeno to come up with something like that.
And it definitely doesn't remind me of Bioshock's good ending.

All these repeated "Is that so?" "Yes it is" and the reversals. But they way they're said, and the context between the two of them. It really gives me this feeling that those lines are said a lot between the two. Such the iconic line from Rumia, inverted, twisted, and used as the finale...truly touching.

I was scared of this turning into a gorish doujin, you know, because Jeno is kind of impredecible.

This is really a beautiful piece.

Haha, leaving all the tragedy or such aside, I have to compliment the guy. Tricked Rumia and then also, fix her "eat, eat" attitude.

Which also brings to mind, they are all half-youkai since Rumia is their mother. Does that mean they also have some kind of affinity for darkness?
