Well, if you dangle them vertically like this...the costume did make look like she's longer. Not really, her feet looks waaaay too long compared to the body because of foreshortening effect.
I need to express my thanks to the artist for remembering that meme. The fact that the artist is a japanese, and still commented his picture with the meme phrase in plain english, shows that memes unites both communities, in despite of our cultural differences and language barrier.
