If the translation of the game is correct, those are supposed to be chemical scars, not burn scars. (Not saying the tag should be changed, mind you)

Well a burn need not be caused simply by fire, which is why chemicals will cause chemical burns.

From a visual tagging standpoint what separates a burn scar from other (more common) scars should be generally larger area and lack of clearly defined areas where cuts or lacerations have occurred.
