I came across this drawing by accident. And what draws me in isn't the lust, but the tattoo of Christ on her thigh. It’s deeply troubling to see such a sacred symbol used in this way, as it disrespects and distorts the meaning of Christ’s image. What makes this even more upsetting is that the is is almost a decade old and is still publicly visible. It feels like there hasn’t been any consideration or respect shown for this sacred symbol over all this time. As a Christian, I feel saddened and frustrated that such important religious images are treated with so little care. Seeing something like this linger for so long only adds to my concern about how these sacred symbols are being handled.
