Going by standard "less is more" female armor logic in fantasy and sci-fi, she will be quite fine. Don't forget that Ripley has handled aliens in her underwear.

Now I want to see someone along the line of Yamashiro popping out with a power loader, all ready to kick the Alien queen's ass to save Shigure. Or the other way around.
Either way, Alien movie where the Abyssals are aliens and Shipgirls are...err...people would be cool.

If Shigure wasn't best ship before, she is now! I normally don't care for those skimpy swimsuits but with that *ahem* "loadout" it works well.

While she have high luck, her fortune eventually ran out. Kinda like Ripley I guess.

Then again I remember that the director of the next Alien movie have decided to make 3 and Resurrection non-canon.

Well both of the movies aren't well received (and I personally dislike them too), so its only natural.

Well, I also thought she was cool, but the movie just feels somewhat off. Maybe "dislike" isn't the correct word, I just couldn't find a reason to rewatch that movie.
