Level 2000+ is way beyond campaign level.
I meant stuff like beating the extra bosses or demon hall mirror, Flonne can take hits better than mages and deal damage almost as well as they can too. Such a multipurposed character is invaluable during those kinds of fights.
Particularly since I use the "toss into base panel to remove all MP" tactic and the weaker mages that hang around outside the panel while I toss the enemy in don't survive for very long afterwards. I don't have to worry about bosses one shotting Flonne at least (well, I worry about as much as I worry about them one shotting my Ronin).
With the right pupils, Flonne becomes your 1-stop mage. Fire, ice, wind, star, and healing.
True, she would be out-classed by a high level Galaxy Mage, but by the time you get one, you probably can already kill anything in the game, so what's the point?
I only use Flonne because of her exclusive skills ^^u
I prefer using my archer, my fighter and my mages by themselves. I have the main chars practically forgotten and I think I even have the subbosses that join you more healthy.
I think Disgaea 3 kinda adresses certain issues concerning main characters, by increasting their stat apitudes by 5% per reincarnation to a max of 125% total.
