The idea for "Arknights" probably didn't even exist at the time. It's a 6 year old picture submitted for Pixiv Fantasia. This is a recurring character in other Pixiv Fantasia artworks. Lowlight just decided to use her as basis for Kal'Tsit.

The commentary gives the character's name as "Kalshi", which is one letter off from how Kal'tsit's name is written in Japanese (Kelshi).
