Well to be fair, Miku has had a 8 year head start and still going. I don't think Hesta will survive for more than a month, 3 months max.
Unless Hestra stay like this for the next... 2 years(?) she's going nowhere. I remember when Shimakaze was all over the damn place in danbooru. Like, literally everywhere. I couldn't even go to my account without hearing Ou! Now we barely even see the poor girl and it's only been a year.
But on a sidenote, I'm surprise that Sayaka made it to the top 20. I've...I've really underestimated her popularity....

That's the fate of a newbie bait, she'll once be a likable figure to many until the fans managed to find something that is worth more favorable than her and decided to move on.
Anyway, I think her popularity began to decrease right after the introduction of Amatsukaze. Though she can still be considered as Kancolle's most effective newbie bait.
Also, Touhou had the most posts here probably because of the flood of Doujinshi several years ago.
