Where do you eat barbecue?

For good or ill, most of my barbecue meals are at restaurants. The last time I had outdoor barbecue (which was years ago) was at a local park.

We have barbecues almost monthly at home, courtesy of beef being available for cheap from the local fresh market (I live out in the country) and more than enough people who know how to make good barbecue being around more or less everyday. It's more a matter of getting in the mood for barbecue than finding time for it.

(Also, you can imagine the kind of figure we folks have. I'm not that heavy, though. Honest!)

So, for the poll, it's the yard for me. I'm usually the one in charge of making french fries.

At my region, the usual is once a week. Cattle raising traditions really pay off.

There was a time when I went to a pig pickin' at least annually, but that was years ago.

Brisket, done correctly, is amazing.

I'll take my BBQ just about anyway I can get it, anywhere I can find it!

It's almost all at restaurants for me (especially for KC-style barbecue). Though my brother-in-law does a fairly good job with ribs.

I would say river beach because Canberra is over an hour from the coast.

Though really, in Australia, anywhere is a good place for a BBQ, even outside a hardware store or at a voting location.

Dad is an awesome chef, and when I was living with him, he'd cook Argentine-style skirt steak for the both of us about once a month.

I have only heard the term "pig pickin" in North Carolina. Am I correct?
