Volume 2 and the fandom are so horrible I've lost all interest in the series.
I am a RWBY fan, and I have to say I agree. But then again, RWBY isn't really designed for depth of plot or extended character backgrounds that lead to good fanbases. Poor fandom is inevitable. RWBY is intended for exploration of unique character designs and good fights. If you take RWBY for what it is, it is very enjoyable.
