My, it would seem that the lover will have to wait a long long time before getting to see Komachi again. Would this perhaps be why Komachi is wearing somewhat of a sad smile expression on her face? A bittersweet situation is how I perceive it to be. Sweet in the sense that Komachi is indeed happy that she found her special someone, yet, bitter in the sense that this special someone will have to wait until death to see her again.
