It's not outside the realm of possibility. A far larger number of professionally licensed and released manga series were translated or edited by "dirty rotten scanlators" who also worked as for-hire freelancers for Tokyopop, Viz, DMP, etc then most people would ever guess. Not that either side were inclined to ever make such knowledge public.
