It was another big moment for #4-san this time.

I'm deeply sorry I had you hold up those placards the whole time. Still, you seemed rather popular among the people in line. :-)

Reader-added tags include "I severely feel your pain", "Muscle self-training", and "So you foisted all the physical labor (hard work) on #4-san, eh, Kogasa-san".

The poll figures there's a better way to exhaust oneself:

    Let's exercise!
    • Running machine
    • Dance
    • Swimming
    • Bench press
    • Ironman race

Never been to these kind of convention before, so how long do he need to hold the card?

For the poll, as someone who rarely exercise, it would be dance(is that even a kind of exercise?)

More or less of 12 hours.

    Literally.

Nope. No exercises for me. I have a regular schedule for that.

"The Human Sign Post" - Generally, we reserve that for minor punishment over here.

Typical conventions run all day. So~ Somewhere in the range of 6 hours.

Edit: I tend to forget that it's not from dawn to dusk... That would make it closer to 8-12 hours... Yikes.

Curiously, does holding up something still whole day build up muscle as much as weight training ?

    For the poll;
Romantically, a man must bench press 1.5 time his own weight and can do push-up with one finger.
Realistically, brisk walking on the treadmill.

Conventions I've attended have typically had dealers' areas open from 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. to anywhere from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. (shorter hours on Sunday), so in the range of 7-10 hours. However, according to Retaisai's site, the convention hours were only 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., so 5 hours. (Japanese conventions tend to have shorter hours, from what I've seen.) Still, it can be wearying.

I saw "Ironman race" and just basically envisioned Iron Man and War Machine racing to see who was faster.

#4-san sure is a popular fellow. Even if he has the hold signs up all day, he can use the power of his fandom to fuel him on. Keep going, #4-san, the power of your fans compels you!

For the poll, ironman race. Have to take it to the extreme.

I REALLY want to know the identity of the mysterious Kappa #4 now considering he's the most prolific Kappa in the series and seems to be the one Kogasa and co. work with regularly.

    • Ironman race

Dunno what that is, but if it is anything like strong-man contests this is the way.

    Even though you will fail.

They're more like marathons but divided among multiple kinds of endurance sports in sequence. Typically running, cycling and swimming.

Isn't that called a triathlon?(or replace tria with the appropriate word)

I’m not sure about Japanese, but in Chinese triathlon is 鐵人三角 which can be translated as ironman race

Japanese for the poll is 鉄人レース which redirects to "triathlon" and probably refers to Ironman Triathlon race
