Daioh had a yamamaaya, which is a type of yamaneko, I guess, but I'd say the connections are still a little thin.

Sometimes I think if Kogasa didn't have bad luck she would have no luck at all

I've experienced this too, went all the way to Hiroshima to see the Itsukushima Shrine at Miyajima, and once I got there, the Torii itself was under repairs so I couldn't even see it ;_;.

Bought a whole box of maple manjuus and stuffed myself as a consolation.

Wow... Kogasa-san sure has the worst of luck lately. Don't fret, Kogasa-san, I'm sure there's some good fortune coming your way to offset all the bad luck. Maybe you'll suddenly gain the ability to eat as much as you want, and not gain a pound! (A great ability to have while around Yuyuko-sama.)
