The BG is not awful. Plain white all the time, however, is.

She's floating in a green vortex, background has no rhyme or reason, lol. White may be boring, but this green is a bit distracting.

Well im probably very late for you to ever read this. But mikan is supposed to be a middle schooler you know that right? She is below 15years of age. She shouldn't have a fat ass, the upper body looks proportionally wide because she is leaning back and her back makes the whole upper body seem wider as the 2d aspect makes the lower portion of the image seem closer to you. If anything, this is a perfectly normal depiction of someone around that age
