I remember an episode of House M.D. where he gauges the length of a lesbian relationship by the presence of sex toys. Said initially a new relationship is hot enough, but as time goes on, toys become part of avoiding monogamy monotony.

Funny as it may be, I doubt the writers pulled that one out of thin air without asking some actual lesbians.
