    Before translation:
Either this is KilgaYugi, or it's the same Yugi from Fry's a while back.

I have a feeling someone wanted to see Sanae-wife due to her assets. Thanks for the translation Moonspeaker!

It's amazing how well "Zomboobs" works for that pun. Well played Moonspeaker, well played.

They apparently reserved 3-4 rooms at the Sheraton Hotel where Anime Boston was being held, and I got one of those all to myself. I feel like they had about ten people in there, but to be honest, I didn't remember the head count accurately. I can onwy count to t'wee. :-)

I drew Yoshika-chan before during the Nikko story, but I wanted to draw this gag, so I had her show up again. I also drew Big Sis Yuugi during the previous U.S. story, but of course, this one's a different person.

I was delighted when they pulled out the "I forgot to bring a big cardboard box" gag from my manga.

The poll asks an interesting question:

What do you want to write on Yoshika-chan's paper charm?
    • Ji Ji Ru Luling*
    • Sold
    • Impounded
    • Luv U (heart)

(*Japanese pronunciation: "Kyūkyū Nyoritsuryō". Standard postscript added to many Chinese official documents and exorcism spells, meaning something like "Edict to be enacted immediately" or "It is so ordered". It looks like legalese, and it is, as faith in the power of official edicts was quite strong. See here for a few more details.)

The Pixivpedia article renders it as "kyon-nyuu", but it occurs to me that "kyon-chichi" is another valid - and punny - pronunciation. (Or is it?)

I appreciate him including me giving him a greeting, because I went completely braindead during introductions and forgot the proper greeting (I don't speak a lick of Japanese).

In regards to that ofuda, it is likely meant to be read as "Kyonchichi", given other Touhous With Tits tags on Pixiv include "Komachichi", "Chichirin", "Chichi White/Black", and even "Chichiyuri". Why no of course I do not actively search for such lewd tags on Pixiv what on earth gave you that idea

I suppose it could be, but the accepted pronunciation, as you've seen, goes with the other side of the pun.

Is it simply coincidence that he avatar'd you as Yuugi? Last years cosplay and all.

I first appeared to him as Yuugi, and spent all of Sunday as Yuugi as well, so I expect that is why Yuugi was chosen. (I had also originally planned to be holding a large cardboard TV box when I first met him, but that didn't work out. ALAS)

I am interested to see how he handles me having no less than four different 2hu cosplays throughout the weekend. Keeping me as just Yuugi the entire weekend would ruin at least one Yamame-related gag from Friday. (Of course, appearing at all is pretty swag already!)

A wild Kilga and UK appear! I had a feeling Kilga was going to be Yuugi, and you can't have Kilga without UK. I wonder who's going to appear next?

Maybe he'll draw Yuugi wearing Yamame's clothes.

Hokay, with this being the "return to hotel" strip, this roughly lines up with http://youtu.be/1OKVHi5ZsDY. And yes, I can attest that if we'd been on the ball more (and if Kilga'd been able to meet him at the airport), we'd totally have greeted Mizuki-san with a Yuugi with an enormous TV box on one shoulder. And then probably gotten thrown out by TSA on our ear.

And by the way, in case anybody was wondering whether UncertainKitten's tag really DID say what it did: http://i.imgur.com/t4Q1D.jpg (she's on the left)

I just remembered a quip that UK made quite a few strips back about handcuffs making someone's wrists stiff or something like that. Wonder if this is a reference to that?

They're "famous" because they invited him to attend Anime Boston with em. And since "Hang in there Kogasa" is a depiction of real life...

Ah, the original is 「でっかいダンボール持ってくるの忘れましたー」と僕の漫画のネタを出してくれたのは嬉しかったですね。 I believe he's saying, "I was happy to be greeted with a joke from my comic when this person said, 'But I forgot to bring a giant cardboard box with me~'". (We were legitimately disappointed we forget that, and to get him to slap someone with the dollar bills.)

    No, that's a reference to... well, let's wait a few days and see if he draws it. ;;

I take that as a high compliment, coming from the official interpreter for the occasion. :-)

Anyone remember which comic that cardboard box reference is from? Was it the comiket one where he filled up the boxes he brought with his purchases?

Nah, it's the one where he was in a Best Buy (I think) in America, and this American person bought a giant TV and told the cashier he/she wouldn't need it to be shipped.

A cultural translation would be "It is so ordered.", which is attached in the end of every U.S. Supreme Court decision.
