Personally it's the shakey lines. If the lines were clean it'd be okay.

It's not really shaky, it's just there's more aliasing and less blurring. It's likely just because the content isn't very memorable, with a dull color palette and little sex or fan appeal.

post #2850716 was approved, so what is wrong with post #2688943?
Same artist, same scene.

Difference in approvers. Akaineko got approval permissions four months ago, and has approved some Western images. Your image was posted before he became an approver.

Imo if it was me, I would not have approved either, I think they're too western-looking.

Everything else by this artist was accepted, so it's strange that this one was rejected.

Just so you know, what has already been accepted isn't used as a measuring stick for future approvals, because even established artists can draw bad or worse-than-usual pieces occasionally. Now take a new and unestablished artist and multiple the standard deviation by like a factor of 10 or so.

I know its been months but I cant seem to let go. Can any one explain why post #2677813 and post #2677811 should not be on Danbooru?

They are detailed, high quality, dynamic and high resolution. The artist whilst Korean lives and works in Tokyo.

Too Western styled is my impression. Can't really complain on quality, but its not the sort of content that Danbooru is catered to.

I feel like these posts being deleted was unfair, knowing Konpeto is one of the favorite artists in Danbooru, and he hardly fails to impress. The first post I linked, in particular, got a pretty good score and was favorited quite reasonably.

Lowkey, I feel like the posts didn't get approved because they were overshadowed by the maelstrom of subsequent posts (+6 pages) that was uploaded afterwards.

First off, source your uploads. If I have to search for your source, then you need to account for that next time. A proper source legitimizes your uploads for approval, as we know where an image is coming from. If you bought the CG set yourself, just put the work title in.

Second, in regards to your other comment, no they weren't. Or if so, they shouldn't have been. Actually, the queue is as healthy as it's ever been with some of the most recent appointees. Those images were most likely rejected because of quality (specifically anatomy, the proportional exaggerations are a bit much). On a side note, most approvers usually don't approve game CG, and typically such game CG has to be fairly outstanding on its own to be considered for it.

I've uploaded from konpeto too, and it is true he is indeed impressive, but just because his other works stand up to shine doesn't really mean its a good idea to mirror that sort of work, artist CG and the like. We're not a smut/H-focused board, but it just so happens that some content is outstanding enough that it deserves a mirror here. It really shouldn't be the norm.

The effort is appreciated, yet there are likely better boards to upload game CG in case you want to make those works easier to find.

To give some feedback regarding those specific images:
They all have the same error which is that the butt is foreshortned too much. This makes her look like she is split in half, meaning the upper torso looks detached. The position of her torso is also pretty unlogical per se.

This isn't game CG as far as I know. There is also no source I could find for those pics I uploaded, sadly. Though I do get what you said, and will take it in mind for the futurewhen I upload pictures. Thanks.

*ahem* Apologies. It's artist CG. Artist CG gets a little more leeway as I'm aware, but it's still subject to more scrutiny as its fairly cookie-cutter work.

I sourced it for you.

I was wondering what was wrong with this post for 12 mods not to like it. Was it the slight sketchy/unfinished quality it has with the lines?

Emm, I wouldn't say that. There's nothing really wrong with it but there's nothing awfully interesting or standout about it either. The art is somewhat amateurish, and as you say the textures are fairly unfinished. Those faults can be forgiven if the rest of the image makes up for it (whether that be through lines, anatomy, composition, etc), but that isn't the case.

Most of us active approvers skim through stuff everyday, and although there's no real rubric to what makes a post approved or not, the general gist is that you shouldn't up content that you think is barely good enough to make the gallery on a sunny day -- Upload work that you think we think deserves archival. If you want examples of users that upload low-ranking posts but consistently make the gallery, try looking at user:Unbreakable or user:Zettamorose. They constantly work on backlogged content that no one else will upload until way later if ever.

Yeah I guess outside of fanbase appeal there's nothing really special about hisin's art in general.

Pretty amateurish and mediocre all over. Most notable:
- eyes are too small for the size of her head and are rather far apart
- bad ear
- bad hands (fingers are too short for the length of her palms)
- quite pointy shoulders (could be forgiven if that were the only issue)
- bad hair flowers (if those are flowers)

Also pretty amateurish and mediocre, easily noticeable due to the bad hands (especially Aki’s tiny fingers in panel 1 and her hook-finger in panel 3).
The flat shading doesn’t help either and there’s nothing else there to save the image, so it looks pretty bland and boring overall.
