[REJECTED] Tag alias: beltskirt -> loose_belt

Posted under Tags

create alias beltskirt -> loose_belt

Link to alias

The beltskirt tag initially was meant to represent an older fashion trend, where a belt is pretty much used as a skirt.
As in post #2197

Instead, it sort of became a catch-all term for images with loose_belts (the 2017 wiki didn't help).
Or in some cases, where a character is just wearing a skirt with a belt. Blaming thefreedictionary for that.

Since it's become such an ambiguous term but, we now have the less ambiguous loose belt tag, i propose we alias beltskirt to loose_belt. i'll hopefully manually remove those that don't fit anymore.

Or, just in case this becomes really popular on Danbooru, transfer all the images from beltskirt and leave the tag with no wiki for now.

EDIT: This tag alias has been rejected because it was not approved within 60 days.

EDIT: The tag alias beltskirt -> loose_belt (forum #142547) has been rejected by @DanbooruBot.

Considering most of the current beltskirt images are loose belt type, it would probably be faster to automatically transfer all of them to lose belt and work your way back.
Methinks.

Ah, what you'd want is a "mass update" instead of an "alias"; the former moves all current tags to the new tag and nothing else, the latter moves all current and future tags to the new tag.

Well, yeah, i was actually also suggesting to switch this to mass update, if that sounds ok?
Initially wanted an alias, and just straight up remove beltskirt. Only about 100 images would remain and it would be a bit redundant.
But sure, i think we can salvage the tag. So a mass update will be requested instead.

Nice work. I'm helping out with this and closing out this request then.

BTW, from going through these, i get the impression that a lot of people just wanted to tag "belt", but accidentally clicked on beltskirt since it was the 2nd most populated tag. Then they were like "sure, i guess that works".
