I wonder if peachems will be the new littleshrimp where a whole fight will break out resulting in threatening emails and vast amount of hate leading to him asking to take his work down or ban.
It seems this always happen when it come to western-ish artist trying to draw fun touhou comics that get uploaded to danbooru.

Many times, I search the past pics of Pixiv to see what jewels may have been missed, skipping over things that I think don't qualify for Danbooru. Usually, these pics are from artists who are well-established here.
Having said that to say this; a quality check here is perfectly fine, based on the simple fact that this artist can, and (de facto) has shown, that they can draw better. And, yes, being western-based certainly doesn't help, but it's not all that damming, so long as the art's quality is there. It just so happens to be, in the two flagged pics of his, that they're not to the level that his other works are.
Short version~ The humor is nice, but he's more capable and I'm sure he'll show that in most of his works along the way. No need to see red just because of the red frame, peeps, it's no biggie. It's just about setting a standard, nothing for one to lose their cool about ;)
[...]unless something is drawn in MSPaint by a primary-schooler, flagging almost invariably leads to people complaining and hating (and misusing the appeals system, but that's for another topic), and it does get old.
It's funny how well the image fits with what is going on here. Also, it seems this picture was a quickie the artist did when he was busy with studying, if what his commentary says is true.
Calling someone out on doing better when he just sketched it for fun is...funny. But yeah, quality, quality, I think it all depends on the person anyway...as well as the artist speaking english/drawing western-ish.
Don't really think this is that big a deal, until we start a witch hunt on the guy later on once his other work continue to be uploaded.

Sure hurts, but most of the users mix the 'Good Quality Image' standar and 'An Image that I like'.
The first is a paremeter to be worked, the second is just a topic to be discussed in a forum.
And c'mon its just a Quality check, if you want something like defend the artist follow him or bookmark his Pixiv. Another thing to remember and very relevant, a deleted image doesn't mean anything to us at least, most of the artist keeps drawing and improving without knowing their works are posted here.

These just don't really feel like they belong here, but that's just me, I guess. Also second what OOZ662 said on that post he quoted, and what Wypatroszony said there as well.
Question is where do you draw the line between "bad art" and "oh it's okay it's just carricature"? As a matter of example, would flagging something by tanaka kusao be a valid flag or cause another flag shitstorm?

Seeing as how he's well known here, it will no doubt cause a shit storm. Hell, flagging Tonda would cause a huge shitstorm and most of his drawings are line sketches.
Not trying to start a fight or anything. I love Tonda and his series, as well as the way he draws so don't think I'm trying to attack him or anything. I know the way he draws the comic is the style. It's just an example and just saying.

Huh, something like this happened? That's kind of sad. If it's funny why the hate?
