zaku ii hmt johnny ridden custom

    高機動型ザクII後期型 MS-06R-2

A fictional manned giant robot from the Gundam mechaverse. It appears in MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden.

MS-06R-2 Zaku II High Mobility Type (Johnny Ridden Custom)

An updated High Mobility Type for the Zaku II mobile suit. The R-2 had vastly more powerful foot thrusters compared to the preceding R-1 and R-1A, and was sometimes referred to as "a Gelgoog in Zaku's clothing." It was extremely hard to control, and therefore only the most skilled pilots, like the Crimson Lightning, Johnny Ridden, could control the type.

It didn't help that Ridden's unit was painted in bright red, which almost always resulted in him being mistaken for the Red Comet, Char Aznable - however, at closer inspection, Ridden's colors are a deeper shade of red with black accents and yellow shoulder spikes, and the feet have longer covers over the added thrusters.
