yukio (marvel)

Yukio (雪緒) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is a female ninja of Japanese origin and a supporting character of the X-Men, particularly associated with Wolverine.

Yukio appears in The Wolverine (2013), portrayed by Rila Fukushima. This version is a mutant with the ability to foresee others' deaths and was adopted by the Yashida family as a child to serve as a companion to Mariko Yashida. In the present, Yukio assists Logan in rescuing Mariko from Viper and Ichirō Yashida.

Yukio appears in Deadpool 2, portrayed by Shioli Kutsuna. This version is a member of the X-Men and the girlfriend of teammate Negasonic Teenage Warhead with technical prowess and electrokinesis. Due to the latter power, fans suggested that the screenwriters had given Yukio's name to a different character, Surge, but the screenwriters denied this, insisting that Yukio remained the same character.
